Harmanpreet Kaur : Indian cricket captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, has created a buzz on social media after securing a massive contract worth ₹1.8 crore from Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Auction 2023. The talismanic batter will be donning the iconic blue jersey of MI in the inaugural edition of WPL.
“Hello Family, Blue it is! #MumbaiIndians #WPL2023,” wrote Harmanpreet on Twitter, reacting to MI’s announcement of having both the Indian cricket captains in their squad. The Indian skipper spoke to Jio Cinema about joining the franchise and said, “It’s really great. I have always seen Mumbai Indians doing really well in the IPL, and now I also have the opportunity to be a part of their team. I hope we’ll make a good team and do what we are there to do.”
