WhatsApp has introduced a feature that allows users to send photos in their original quality.

This feature enables users to share high-definition (HD) photos without compressing the size.

WhatsApp is working on making the HD quality option available for videos as well.

The feature is currently being tested on WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.13.0.76.

Users can send high-quality videos by adjusting the media's quality settings before sharing.

The videos will have improved quality while preserving the dimensions, with some light compression applied.

The default option for videos will be "Standard quality," and users can choose the high-quality option when sharing a new video.

High-quality videos will be marked as such in the conversation, with a new tag added to the message bubble.

The HD-quality video feature will not be available for sharing videos through WhatsApp status updates.
