The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has launched a Centre of Excellence on Membrane Technologies for desalination, brine management, and water recycling.

The centre aims to develop strategies and technologies for desalination and sustainable treatment and reuse of water.

The centre will adopt state-of-the-art membrane technologies for efficient water purification.
