Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has appointed Ben Sawyer as the new head coach for the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) season.

Sawyer is currently the head coach of the New Zealand women’s team and the Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.

RCB has also appointed RX Murali as their batting coach and Vanitha VR as their scouting and fielding coach.

Former Indian cricketer Malolan Rangarajan will serve as an assistant coach and head of scouting, while Dr. Harini will be the team manager and doctor.

Tennis legend Sania Mirza was appointed as RCB’s mentor ahead of the inaugural WPL season.

RCB's squad for the WPL includes accomplished players such as Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, and Heather Knight.

The team is well-positioned to make a mark in the tournament with a highly experienced coaching staff and a formidable squad.

The WPL is set to begin on March 4 and will run until March 26, with a total of 22 games to be played in the tournament.
