In a startling turn of events, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief Chandrababu Naidu was apprehended at the crack of dawn, around 6 am, from R K Function Hall at Gnanapuram in Nandyala town. The state police have cited several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 120B (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), and 465 (forgery), alongside invoking the Prevention of Corruption Act. The APSSDC, established in 2016 during the TDP regime in Andhra Pradesh, was a program aimed at empowering unemployed youth through skill training. A significant portion of the government’s allocated funds, amounting to Rs. 371 Crores, were diverted to shell companies through fabricated invoices. These invoices falsely claimed the delivery or sale of items, but in reality, no such transactions took place.

Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the prime accused in this scandal, is believed to be the mastermind behind the entire operation. He allegedly orchestrated the transfer of public funds to private entities through shell companies, leading to losses for the public exchequer and gains for private individuals.
